Mohammed Shami Six Ducks in A Row
Gone
are the days when bowlers weren't supposed to score points. In today's cricket,
almost all tail players should contribute to the bat. But Mohammed Shami's
recent form is proving to be an exception to a kilometre and a half. The Indian
fast-thrower acted up with the bat. Although Shami doesn't expect much, he
makes sure the team management finally tells him to focus on his stick.
While
other Indian players had a good day with the stick on the second day of the
second Test against the West Indies, Shami had another bad outing. He was fired
for a duck by Rahkeem Cornwall. It is the sixth time in a row that the Indian
cricketer has not surpassed zero. Shami has not been able to play more than
three balls in one inning in his last six outings.

Fortunately
for India, Mohammed Shami's failure with the bat did not cost them dearly as
they accumulated 416 runs. Hanuma Vihari marked her first century, while Ishant
Sharma performed her first test of half a century to help India record an
impressive in total.
Vihari
was the last man to be fired when Jason Holder fired him for 111. Vihari faced
225 deliveries, scoring 16 fours and sharing a 112-race stand with Ishant for
the eighth wicket and Ishant goes for 57 runs.
Jasprit
Bumrah then made his mark with the ball. The Indian spearhead roamed the West
Indies batting lineup to let them watch another significant loss. Bumrah
managed a lap of the ha and finished the day with six wickets for only 16
points. The West Indies, however, were 87 to 7 when the day ended.
