Peshawar May Not Host Any PSL 2020 Match

Peshawar Zalmi is expected to complete renovations to the Arbab Niaz Stadium before the start of the Pakistan Super League PSL 2020. However, the renovation process may not be completed in time, which is why PSL management has not considered making Peshawar a venue for PSL 2020 matches. The leaders of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi have expressed a desire to play a total of three home games for the upcoming PSL 2020 season. Javed Afridi's plans to host matches in Peshawar were shot down by Usman Wahla, General Manager of Operations, PSL. In an email, he said that

Peshawar Stadium will not be ready by the start of next season. That is why we will not consider it for PSL 5 (PSL 2020). Javed Afridi subsequently contacted Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed the options with THE CCP President, Ehsan Mani, and Director General Wasim Khan. President Mani will meet with Prime Minister Imran in the coming days, where he will discuss the issue. Only then will we be able to comment further on this situation.
