Twitter Gone Mad After Jasprit Bumrah Performance
India inflicted an embarrassing defeat on the West Indies in the first round, with 318 losses. Jasprit Bumrah dismantled West Indies with five wickets after Ajinkya Rahane scored his early century in two years on Sunday.
The West Indies were chasing a gigantic goal of 419 points. However, the Indian pacers led by Bumrah demolished the hosts, who were eliminated by only 100 to 26.5 points more in the last session of the fourth day.
It was a Bumrah show in ideal weather conditions, as he sent the wicket to run three times during his eight-race run in which he conceded only seven points.
The Victory also made Virat Kohli the captain of the most successful Indian test with MS Dhoni. It was his 27th victory as skipper in the most extended format of the match. Kohli is now the most successful overseas test captain for India as he surpassed Sourav Ganguly's 11-game winning streak on the road.
