Struggling in pain but Buttler continued to go on, but ten overs later, another vicious Arche bouncer caught Smith off guard.
The ball hit Steve Smith in the back of the neck, forcing him to withdraw injured. Spectators at Smith's heroic Lord's meeting in unison as Jofra Archer walked away from the batsmen and shared a laugh with Jos Buttler. While Archer revealed he had lost time after Smith's fall, Shoaib Akhtar criticized the young fast-paced gunner for his attitude towards Smith.
"Bouncers are an integral part of the game, but every time a bowler hits a batsman on the head and falls, courtesy requires the bowler to watch him. It was not nice of Archer to leave while Smith was in pain. I was always the first to run to the batsmen," tweeted Shoaib Akhtar.
