Shoaib Akhtar Praise Rohit Sharma

Shoaib Akhtar Praise Rohit Sharma

After a fine day, the Indian national cricket team is preparing to wear the white international cricket jersey. They are all ready to face the West Indies in their first series, which is part of the ICC Test Championship. Meanwhile, India faces a selection headache with Rohit Sharma in the team, which is in a nice notch. For his part, Shoaib Akhtar asked the Indian management to include Rohit Sharma at all costs.

Rohit Sharma has always been a brilliant actor in the shortest version of the game. He was not as successful in the Test format by looking at his statistics and his level of patience, which he displayed whenever the opportunity arose. However, Shoaib Akhtar thinks that Rohit Sharma has changed a lot to succeed in the 5-day game.

Vihari and Rohit both take part in the West Indies tour with the form behind them. Rohit has just finished a World Cup campaign in which he recorded a record five centuries, while Vihari toured the Caribbean with the India A team, scoring 55 and 118 euros in the second unofficial Test. Admittedly, this brings a mild headache to the team's selection department.

However, legendary Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar firmly believes it is unfair not to give right-handed batsman Rohit Sharma, who has proven himself at the 2019 ICC World Cup, no chance. Akhtar said that Rohit Sharma would end up being the great test player too.

"I know that Rohit had the chance to play in the Test format earlier and that he was not able to seize the opportunity. But I think he should be included in the team. He is a big winner of the match, and not including it will be wrong. He's fit and we should give him a chance right now," Akhtar said in a video posted on his official Youtube channel.

"When you have selected him in the team, leaving him out of Part XI should not be an option. I think he will showcase his talent in the longest format of the game. He will also become an excellent player in the test format," he added.

After playing five batsmen, one goalkeeper, one versatile and four bowlers on most of their tours of South Africa and England in 2018, India went to six specialist batsmen in the fifth and final England Test at The Oval. They also rubbed shoulders with six drummers on the tour of Australia.
