Afghanistan To Host International Matches in Lucknow

The Afghanistan cricket team has been practicing in India for a few years due to the polarization of the situation in the country. They have trained at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun in recent years and have played all their matches on the same site. However, they will now move their base to Lucknow, after approval from the Supreme Court-appointed Board of Directors.

The country of the war zone has made rapid progress in international cricket since it became a full member. Afghanistan has knocked out a lot of great teams and also has quality players in its ranks. Celebrities such as Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi have played extensively in various T20 leagues based on franchises around the world.

Afghanistan, which has had a disappointed World Cup campaign, will try to recover quickly and come out stronger. They will now have a new stadium to train in India. At its meeting, the CoA approved the holding of the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow for its international matches - Tests, ODI and T20. Asadullah Khan, CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), confirmed the development to a news agency.
