Misbah Ul Haq Dismisses Rumors of Applying for Head Coach Role
Recently, we became aware of reports that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted to appoint former captain Misbah ul Haq as head coach of the national team. Misbah, who oversees a pre-season camp in Lahore, however, has banned all reports.
Former Pakistan skipper Misbah Ul Haq said he had not applied for the head coach of Pakistan's cricket team. He also revealed that he would focus solely on the camp, which is currently under development.

Misbah Ul Haq explained that the last call would be with PCB officials regarding the captain. Also, he added that players will be considered in the team based on the needs of the team and the conditions in which the match will take place.
"The Pakistan Cricket Board has the final say on the captain. Players will be selected based on their performance in national matches. However, fitness will not be the only criterion. The needs of the team will also be taken into account," he added.
PCB ended its association with Arthur. And also, with bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, batting coach Grant Flower and coach Grant Ludden. Misbah, 45, represented Pakistan in 75 events and 162 IDIs. Also, he is widely recognized for leading the team after assuming the captaincy after the 2010 spotting scandal.
