Indian Team Planning to Hire Former Pakistani Coach

The Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) has pre-selected former Pakistan coach grant Grant Ludden in strength and conditioning. A press release issued on Friday indicated that the Indian Cricket Board considered Ludden among other candidates for the position of strength and conditioning coach. Twelve candidates had applied for the position, of which four names were selected.

"Candidates [for the position] include Mr. Luke Woodhouse, Mr. Grant Luden, Mr. Rajnikanth Sivagnanam, Mr. Nick Webb and Mr. Anand,", Ludden was a leading runner.

The Senior Selection Committee of all India finalized the list for the second round after a four-day selection process.

As of Monday, 14 candidates for the position of coach, 12 candidates for the position of bowling coach, 9 candidates for field coach, 16 for physiotherapist, 12 for strength and conditioning coach and 24 for the position executive director were: interviewed. The entire process lasted four days and ended on Thursday evening. The name of the selected candidate will be announced next week.
